Opera & Mozilla Up, IE sunk

Defects in Internet Explorer (IE) provides benefits for other browsers. After Microsoft confirmed that hackers exploited a weakness IE to attack Google some time ago, some countries advise their citizens to switch to another browser such as Opera and Firefox.  France, Germany and Australia are the countries that have serious attention to this problem. Vulnerability in IE to make these three countries prohibit their citizens reacted using IE.

As reported by The Register, Thursday (1/21/2010), in Germany, calls the government to not use IE to Opera to increase the number of double download. In Australia, where similar issues are also rolling, download Opera increased by 37 percent.

In the meantime, download Firefox Mozilla showed a statistically significant spike in both the German and French. Mozilla released the latest data showing an increase of 300,000 additional download in Germany in the last four days.

Mozilla spokesperson said, this is certainly an impact on Firefox's existence in website traffic in France. While Opera spokeswoman said, in France the browser only shows a slight increase when compared to Mozilla Firefox.

Today, Microsoft are working hard to improve defects in IE and will soon release a software to anticipate vulnerabilities in their browser. But Microsoft did not say when, the software is available.

They also remind users of IE to avoid excessive response to this issue. According to a spokesman for Microsoft attacks Google struck some time ago are effective only on IE 6. Instead, independent observers said that IE 7 and 8 were very vulnerable attacked.
